Teacher Week '13- Let's talk about me Monday

Hi Everyone!!! Let's start off with a fun fact...

I used to be a cheerleader for Appalachian State University.

(I'm the third one from the left)
These are my cheering besties...we called ourselves the hot tamales because it was our fav candy. You know in college when you eat real healthy. We LIVED off of hot tamale candy.

One year the football team made it to a Southern Conference...in Charleston. We loved to do stunts everywhere! I had to dig deep for this one...funny how I couldn't find one of us at an actual game. I'm the flyer on the very top...the one who doesn't have good form on her arms...(you fellow cheerleaders know you were thinking that!) ha ha

Ok, now for a real introduction....
This is me with the sweetest little baby boy on the planet. He is the center of my world!

And these two boys are the loves of my life! {Captain Hook and Peter Pan...minus their hats!}

Which brings me to this guy. We met in college, fell in love and have been married for 7 years. So thankful for how supportive he is. Love him to pieces.

I am crazy about my family. And I'm crazy about being a teacher. Family and teaching...my two passions in life. That's it...I'm pretty simple. Now you know me. :)

This year I was awarded with the incredible honor of being named Teacher of the Year not only for my school but for my county! It was a true shock and a surreal moment. I've never been so humbled, and speechless! It's pretty hard to make a speech when your heart is beating out of your chest! So excited for the next level and so very happy to have friends like you to help me through it.

I have had 7 years of teaching experience. 1 year in 2nd, 3 years in 3rd, and 3 years in 1st and looking forward to many many more years of teaching!

Here is one more fun fact about me...Hi, my name is Meghan and I am a Disney junkie! I LOVE Disney World. In fact, I have been so many times, I can't even count. It's kind of our family's thing. We used to go several times a year when I was a kid but now that I'm a responsible adult, we only make it there once or twice a year...at Christmas and Halloween! Check back with me in October and I will post pictures of us in costume...I'll even back date and show you what we've been the past two years! We always stay at the campground, Fort Wilderness. Just love it! Baby boy's first trip was when he was 5 months old! {I was a blond back then!}

Thanks so much for visiting me! Be sure to link up. I can't wait to get to know you!!!
